Xiaomi introduced the compact Xming Q5 projector with Smart TV functions

Xiaomi’s digital equipment catalog has been expanded with the compact home projector Xming Q5. Not only is it capable of playing movies from media, but it is also equipped with smart features that allow it to replace a modern TV.

Xming Q5 has a compact body with a height of 17.5 cm and a weight of 1.4 kg. It can be mounted on a special stand, with which the device can be rotated along the vertical axis by 360°. The new product supports 4K video decoding at a native image resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The stated contrast ratio is 1500:1, brightness is 280 lumens (the standard is not specified).

One of the features of the new product is the PhotonX optical system, designed to combat light leaks, dust ingress, and overheating of the working element. The projector received a quad-core processor (Cortex-A53) and a built-in 32 GB drive.

On the software side, the 11th generation TruLife Image Engine is responsible for image processing. It adjusts the color temperature, sharpness and detail of the picture. Global Intelligent Adaptive System 3.0 technology automatically adjusts projection settings so that the image on the wall is as smooth as on the TV screen. The declared noise level during operation of the device is no more than 28 dB.

Among other features of the model, the manufacturer highlights support for the HDR10+ standard, reduced blue light levels, voice control and integration into the Xiaomi smart home ecosystem. The sound is provided by two 3 W speakers with surround sound support. The projector runs proprietary firmware based on Android 13. Its set of interfaces includes USB 2.0 Type-A ports, HDMI 2.0 and a headphone jack, as well as a Wi-Fi 6 module.

The price of the Xming Q5 in China is $140, the availability of the device in other countries regions there is no information yet.
